Sweet Treats

We've had a week of sweet treats this week.

On Monday we got to drink our lemonade that we made the week before as part of our inquiry topic.  It had turned slightly fizzy due to the yeast in it.  Some of us thought it smelt a bit like bread and some of us even thought it smelt like beer!

On Wednesday we we made sherbet.  Some of us found that our mixture foamed a lot when we put it in our mouth! We have also been learning to write instructions in writing so can you guess what we wrote instructions for?
On Thursday we had fun melting chocolate and making interesting shaped chocolate molds.  We decided that making the chocolate molds is a reversible change.

After a couple of weeks of making lots of different things we began evaluating what product would be good to make and sell at a Kahikatea Market Day next term.  What will we sell? What this space!

We wrapped up our week with a special visit from the story teller Roger Saunders.  He kept us entertained with his stories using a range of musical instruments.

This week we also finished off publishing our stories using Little Bird Tales.  Check out Sylvie and Amaya's high quality stories below.
