We've had a great week of action this week. It all began on Monday when we visited Piper's Reserve to help Nelmac plant trees and shrubs. They transported us there by bus and then walked us up to a location overlooking the valley. We really enjoyed this experience with some of us managing to plant over 15 plants or shrubs.
The planting theme carried on on Thursday. This time we were joined by Rick from the Brook Sanctuary. Every class has been involved in re-planting some of the gardens. The aim of this project is to help develop a corridor to attract birds and other native wildlife down from the Brook Sanctuary.
On Tuesday we visited Esther from the Suter Art Gallery. We visited the exhibtion inspired by Dr Seuss's book 'My Many Coloured Days'. As part of this we painted our own little character in colours reflective of a chosen emotion.
