Constructing our mangonels

This week in Room 5 we have worked hard to construct our mangonels with our buddies. We are building them as part of our inquiry topic on Simple Machines. Our syndicate is having a challenge to see who can design a mangonel that fires a marshmallow the furthest. Sally has been very impressed by the way we have co-operated together and done a lot of problem solving. We were very thankful for the support that we had from Pete, Rebecca, Huup, Martin and two Nelson College boys whilst constructing them. We can't wait to see which are the top three mangonels from our class that get selected to go through to the Kahikatea final!
