What a fun filled week we have had this week!
On Monday Sally spoilt us! In writing Sally gave us a chocolate from a box of Favourites. We had to describe it using our senses. We are learning to describe things by showing, not telling. We then had to guess which chocolate our friends had.
It looks red and yummy
It rustles like pieces of paper on a fire
It smells like cherry
It tastes like coconut
It feels bumpy like rocks
What chocolate am I?

In the afternoon we kicked off our new Maths unit on measurement. Sally gave us a snake and we had to measure the length of them. Some of us decided to use centimetre cubes, some of us used teddy bears and others of us used our rulers.
On Tuesday we began our new Inquiry unit titled Up, Up and Away. Sally set us the challenge of deigning a parachute for a marble that we would drop off the top of the adventure playground. We had heats and then a final. Check out the video below. Well done to Lucio and Cullen who took out the challenge!
Here are some of our reflections after the competition
-The lighter it is the slower it will go - Tyler
-The air gets trapped in the bag and the air is light so it will make it go slow - River
-Where the bags were open and let the air go in they went slower - Lachlan
This week in Reading we focused on ANZAC day. Today we were lucky enough to make ANZAC biscuits. They were delicious!!
