A lot has happened since we last posted on our blog.
Last Monday we were lucky enough to have Button's visit. He is the Guinea Pig from Klara's brother's kindy. We have been learning to observe,notice and describe. Check out this great descriptive poem written by Coooper
Buttons
Whiskers twitch frantically
Claws grab people as they try to pat him
Fur brushes against people's hands
Mouth nibbles looking for food
Ears listen to people talking
Last Wednesday we ended up having a rainbow themed morning. We had lots of fun creating our own metaphor rainbows. It was Ruby's birthday the day before and her sister had made her amazing rainbow birthday cake. Ruby was very kind bringing it in to share with us.
We were also lucky enough to visit the Water treatment plant up the Brook. We learnt all about how the water in Nelson is cleaned and treated and gets to us in our homes. We know that we are really lucky because we have been reading about children in Africa who have to walk 12km each day to get water for their family.
